2015 Cabernet Sauvigonon-Syrah (Wine Club Exclusive Wine)

This blend, made popular in Australia, marries two bold varietals to produce a complex, yet approachable wine suitable for aging. The wine has aromas and flavors of blackberry, black cherry, tobacco and sweet spice; round and supple from first sip through finish. Only 142 cases produced.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2025.

Food pairing suggestions:
Syrah-Braised Short Ribs
Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

2015 Ora

Our 2015 Ora is an Old World inspired blend (30% Syrah, 30% Malbec, 23% Tempranillo, 12% Souzao, 2% Petite Verdot, 2% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon) featuring varietals commonly found in France, Spain and Portugual. The resulting wine displays aromas and flavors of black currant, cherry cola, black pepper and chocolate.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2020.

Food pairing suggestions:
Sausage Lasagna
Cauliflower Steaks with Olive & Herb Salsa

2014 Touriga Nacional

A less common varietal, Touriga Nacional is traditionally used in making port and blends from the Douro region of Portugual. This wine displays a complex nose of carmelized sugar, candied orange peel, purple flowers and dried plums. The palate is luxuriously soft with notes of persimmon and white tea, and finishes with leather and dried roses. Still young, we suggest laying down for another year or two; however, can be enjoyed now after decanting at least one hour.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2027.

Food pairing suggestions:
Cuban Pork Rice Bowls with Black Beans & Fried Plantains
Sage Polenta Bowls with Roast Brussels Sprouts & Wild Mushrooms

2016 Viognier (in Cask Club allocations only)

Our 2016 Viognier has aromas and flavors of peach, citrus zest, vanilla, lemongrass and spice; round, but bright acidity and a crisp finish balance well. This is the perfect summer wine. Enjoy by itself or pair it with shellfish, pork or Asian cuisine. Only 230 cases produced.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2017.

Food pairing suggestions:
Dr. BBQ's Lobster with Chili-Lime Butter
Cannelloni with Swiss Chard & Fresh Goat Cheese
