Desert Wind is committed to supporting organizations which seek to benefit the surrounding community through wine donations and charitable contributions. Here are some of the ways we are giving back.
Each year we receive hundreds of requests for charitable donations from worthy causes throughout the Northwest; unfortunately we are unable to donate to them all. In lieu of selecting just a few of these organizations to receive donations, we have implemented a special pricing program open to all qualified 501(c)(3) organizations for use in their fundraising efforts. Through this program, any qualified nonprofit can purchase wine, a VIP tour certificate or an accommodation certificate at a reduced price. If you have an upcoming fundraiser or special event benefiting a nonprofit, we invite you to take a look at our special pricing program for qualified 501(c)(3) organizations.
Each year, we ask each of our employees to select an organization to receive a wine tasting experience package as a donation from Desert Wind. In recent years, staff members have chosen to donate to The Children's Place, Puget Sound Kidney Centers Foundation, Safe Harbor Support Center, Cat Adoption Team, Prosser Eagles and more.
Twice a year, Desert Wind partners with a nonprofit for a six-month period as part of our Give & Taste Program. Every month, our tasting list features a special wine only available for tasting as part of our Give & Taste Program. Guests who elect to try this wine pay a nominal tasting fee; the entire tasting fee is donated to our current Give & Taste partner. Since July 2014, our tasters have donated over $1,000 through this program.
